How to use SOSmax

What is a socket?

A socket is a standardized interface of an operation system for communication purpose between the TCP/IP protocol stack of th OS and applications. It is identified by an IP address and a port number. Thereby, client and server applications are enabled to communicate over a network using IP address and port number. Listening at a specified port the socket receives IP data packages and forwards them to the corresponding application. With SOS max, this communication flow can be displayed.
